SUMMER FUNdraising 12 HR CROP

BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids is hosting a 12 hour crop in support of BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Proceeds from the one day crop will be combined with the funds raised at the BC Crop for Kids weekend in October.

DATE: August 29, 2009

LOCATION: St. George's Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge

TIME: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

PRICE PER PERSON: $39.00, plus a potluck dish or treat for the snack table.


REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

- reserved seating,
- dinner,
- coffee, tea,
- cold drinks,
- make & takes,
- door prizes, games,
- challenges, and
- 12 hours of "me time" to work on your paper crafts in a comfy, well-lit environment.

This is a great way to be involved in the BC Crop For Kids, especially if you won't be able to attend the main event.

BIG NEWS!!

We were asked to present a cheque for the funds raised at the 2008 event on TV during the 22nd annual BC Children's Hospital Foundation Miracle Weekend Telethon. We'll be presenting the cheque on TV on Sunday, June 7 between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. We're so excited about this!!

Unfortunately Sandra has a work committment that day, so I will be going as the representative of BC Crop for Kids. We've asked Hayley and Izzy to help us out as well because I'm not sure I could do it by myself. Thanks ladies!!!

We need your help!! Does anyone have a recordable DVD player that would be able to tape the cheque presentation for us?

INSPIRED SCRAPPER CHALLENGE

We are pleased to announced that Sonja from The Inspired Scrapper is sponsoring a fabulous challenge exclusive to BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids.

Here are the details of the challenge:

Scrapbooking Community: A big part of scrapbooking is community. The people you meet. Friends who inspire your life, on and off the scrapbook page. My challenge is for you to create a mini-album or layout of any size, that celebrates your scrapbooking community. Whether you crop with friends, attend retreats or visit your favourite online forums, let us know how your scrapbooking community has touched your life.

Deadline to submit your creation is 9:00am on Sunday, October 25th. All entries can be dropped off at the BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids info/registration desk clearly marked with your name and contact information. Entries will then be judged by The Inspired Scrapper team based on creativity, content and journaling.

Two prizes will be awarded by judges desicion and one by random draw. All three winners will be offered a guest designer spot on The Inspired Scrapper challenge blog. Have fun!
